Dining Stations

Global Harvest
Focusing on international cuisine, this made-to-order station serves up deconstructed items like stir-fries, sushi, BYO pasta, tapas bars, and more, and is a great way for you to craft your perfect plate.

 

Comfort Station
Featuring traditional lunch & dinner entrees like roasted chicken, lasagna, roasted pork, and pan-seared salmon, all prepared from scratch, this self-serve station will fuel you up with comfort.

 

Nonna’s
Let our staff serve you from our daily selection of homemade and fresh-baked pizzas, pastas, and toasted sandwiches.

 

Fresco Grill
Featuring a lineup of classic grill items like burgers, chicken sandwiches, and melts, along with vegetarian options and daily specials, this station serves up your favorites.

 

Fresh Market
Choose from a wide variety of vegetables, grains, greens, proteins, breads & wraps, along with a rotating selection of composed salads and from-scratch soups at the self-serve soup, salad, and deli bar, open continuously from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

 

Confection Connection
A sweet end to your meals, this station features an assortment of homemade desserts, cookies, cakes, and more.

Resident Meal Plans

Newman Hall offers two meal plans for residents: 14 meals/week and 21 meals/week. Including the Late Night Made-to-Order Grill and Grab & Go meal services, Newman Hall offers 25 meals/week during which to utilize your meal plan, and Sack Lunches, Late Plates, and To Go boxes are available for residents who need to eat on the go or who need to eat outside the regular dining service hours.

 

Meal plan balances reset each week at midnight on Sunday.

 

Residents can upgrade their meal plan to the 21 meals/week plan at any time. Meal plan reductions to the 14 meals/week plan can be requested in the first 3 weeks of each semester by email to housing@sjcnc.org.

Other Dining Options

Late Night Made-to-Order Grill: Ready to fuel up for a night of studying? Enjoy made-to-order grill options in addition to convenient Grab & Go choices Monday-Thursday from 8 pm-10 pm. Order up your grill favorites, cooked while you wait.

 

Student Kitchen: The fully-equipped Student Kitchen provides everything you need to make whatever you’d like, whenever you’d like (groceries not included). Kitchen reservations can be made at the Hall Office.

 

Non-Resident?

Non-residents are invited to join us for meals. Meals can be purchased as you go for the prices posted at the Cashier Station. Outside Meal Plans are also available for students who wish to dine regularly at Newman Hall. Contact us at dining@sjcnc.org for more information.

Outside Meal Plans are available for non-residents who wish to dine regularly at Newman Hall. Outside meal plans are available as 14-meals per week for the semester or 21-meals per week for the semester. Outside meal plans may be purchased at the Newman Hall Dining Room at any time between the hours of 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday.

Public Dining Pricing

The Newman Hall Dining Room is open to the public. Meals are all -you-care-to-eat and pricing includes beverages. Meals may be purchased at the Dining Room Cashier Station.

 

Meal Pricing as of August 2025 is:

  • Breakfast: $9.50
  • Lunch: $12.50
  • Dinner: $14.50
  • Late Night: $10.50
  • Sunday Brunch: $15.00
