Reunion Retreat Questions

Can I bring my spouse and children?

Spouses and nursing children under the age of 1 are most welcome!  While we do not currently have childcare set up for older children, we are hopeful to have something established soon.  If childcare becomes available, registration would be on a first come first served basis for the first 35 children.

If I have a guest who has never been part of a Koinonia, are they allowed to come?

Yes!

If I went to Koinonia at another place but not at St. John’s, am I allowed to come?

Yes!

What is the location of the event?

All of the scheduled events from Friday evening until Saturday at noon are scheduled to take place at the iHotel in Champaign (1900 S 1st St, Champaign, IL 61820).  From there, guests will have free time to do what they wish.  Reunion events will take place at St. John’s Catholic Newman Center, as well as the Community Building in Bellflower, IL.  Sunday events are scheduled for St. John’s Catholic Newman Center.

What does the $100 cover?

Your registration fee includes the retreat, materials, a welcome reception on Friday night, and the reunion dinner on Saturday night before the Koinonia Reunion in Bellflower. A Sunday Farewell Brunch is available for purchase separately.  Your hotel fee is in addition to the registration fee.

Where do I make hotel reservations?

Please refer to the Hotel Block section below to reserve a room in one of two blocks, as well as the reservation deadlines.

What is the registration deadline for the retreat?

Early bird pricing ends September 18th.  After that date, the price goes up to $125.  October 18, 2023 is the last deadline for registering.

What activities are included in the weekend schedule?

A variety of relevant talks, games, social time, prayer time, great food, renovated St. John Chapel tours, and more.  There will also be time to revisit all of your favorite places on campus and in CU!
